Slokam -15. ( Ability to write poems and ability to become scholar )
Saraj-jyotsna-shuddham sasi-yuta-jata-juta-makutam
Vara-traasa-traana-sphatika-ghutika-pustaka karaam;
Sakrn na thva nathva katham iva sathaam sannidadhate
Madhu-kshira-drakhsa-madhurima-dhurinah phanitayah.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Translation :
Saraj-jyotsna - autumnal moonlight;
- (gesticulate) granting of boon - who is pure;
sasi-yuta - endowed with the moon;
jata-juta-makutam - who has a tiara on the mass of twisted hair;
Var - (gesticulate) g- protection from fearranting of boon;
traasa-traana - protection from fear;
sphatika-ghutika - crystal beads;
pustaka karaam; - whose hand (holds) the book;
Sakrn - once;
na - not;
thva nathva - having bowed to you;
katham iva - how is it;
sathaam sannidadhate - present for good people;
Madhu - honey;
kshira - milk;
drakhsa - grape;
madhurima-dhurinah - charged with sweetness;
phanitayah - words.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Essence of the Slokam : Worship of Siva changes the writings
of Brahma, the husband of Saraswati, Worship of Sakti bestows the grace of Saraswati.
Sweetest words rivaling the honey, milk and grapes,
Can only Come to the thoughts of the devotee,
Who once meditates on your face,
Which is like the white autumn moon,
On your head with a crown with the crescent moon and flowing hair,
And hands that shower boons and give protection,
Which hold the crystal chain of beads and books.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion :
How cannot words charged with the sweetness of honey, milk
and grape not be present in the words, for good people who
have bowed once to you, who is pure as the autumnal
moonlight, who has a tiara on the mass of twisted hair
endowed with the moon, and whose hands (gesticulate) the
granting of boon (and) protection from fear, (and hold) the
crystal beads and book.
